Vision of Tears Foundation The standard & quality of life for every differently-abled child, with physical & mental retardation, should be Read moreequal to other people in the community where they live in. Our vision is of, transforming "disability into ability" & helping them to lead their lives independently. We also look forward that every child's life should be self-sufficient & healthy enough & we target to completely eradicate malnutrition & hunger from the society they live in.  Objectives of Tears Foundation Objectives of Tears Foundation is to provide aid like wheelchairs, hearing aid, blind sticks, walking sticks etc. to physically and mentally challenged individuals residing in Mumbai. However, our organization has also been involved in various other charity projects like sponsoring mid-day meals to orphan home children, under privileged & needy people from slums & footpath, children’s education, computer training sessions, awareness drives, medicals camps & medical assistance to the poor & needy people. We also look after the needs of children and women, primarily who have been victims of trafficking, helping to their rescue, counseling, and rehabilitation, follow up, and reunite them with their families, work extensively to provide psychological support, medical & legal assistance to the child and women victims. Also to raise the issue of trafficking through appropriate channels like press, internet and other media. Our Projects ‘BLESSING FROM STOMACH’ ~ A project for Mid-day Meal One area where India’s development falls desperately short is nutrition. Child malnutrition rates are higher in India than any part of world. Nearly one-half of all children under 3 years old being under weight or stunned due to malnutrition. Their parents do not afford even the basic necessary calories & nutrition needed by a child. Even in the metropolitan city like Mumbai, thousands of families are forced to go to bed empty stomach leading to hunger & malnutrition’s. It has been medically proven that under-weight children & children with malnourished are more likely to develop chronic illnesses such as diabetes. Even thousands of children in India dies because of hunger & malnourished. To cope up & fight against the malnutrition & hunger drive, Tears Foundation have come up with a Project “Blessing from Stomach”. Under this project, our organization will target the slums & pavement dwellers & street children suffering from malnutrition & hunger. We will provide food packets to such children suffering from malnutrition & hunger. We with our CSR partners “Shree Shubham Logistics Ltd. have started a project of providing raw food grains like wheat, rice, pulses, sugar etc. in slums & pavement dwellers around Wadala locality. We also provide mid-day meals in various orphans home for differently abled & mentally retarded children there in all over Mumbai. For long-term sustainability & impact of the project, we are appealing from individual donors to all types of Government & non-government organization, Companies, Professionals & many more. We are also in process of this project with our CSR partners & M.C.G.M, who have funded us in our other projects. We hope that you will definitely consider this project too. SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAAN ~ A PROJECT BY OUR PRIME MINISTER (SUPPORTED BY MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF GREATER MUMBAI) We were also a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, a project run & funded by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. We were appointed for this project to keep ‘Clean Wadala~ Green Wadala’, for which we appoint unemployed, needy & under privileged people from the slums around Wadala areas. Thus, it helps the society in keeping clean, neat & hygiene and creating employment opportunities for such unemployed peoples, which directly earn them bread-and-butter benefited indirectly in reducing malnutrition & hunger for such people. The fund generated through this project helped us in paying wages to the labours, providing them uniforms, cleaning products like brooms, dustbins, etc. We also enrolled them with facilities of provided funds & ESIC schemes, which were equally, contributed by M.C.G.M. & Tears Foundation on behalf of such needy daily wages labours.
