COVID-19 has brought unprecedented challenges, particularly impacting the lives and livelihoods of people globally, including those with disabilities. The pandemic has affected countless lives in India, especially those who rely on others for support. Many disabled individuals, including athletes, have faced unemployment or loss of daily wages during these tough times. To aid those economically affected, the Association for Disabled People initiated a "COVID Relief Food Kit" distribution, providing essential support to over 750 individuals with disabilities. These kits contain dry rations, masks, and sanitisers, aiming to alleviate the hardships faced by this vulnerable group due to the lockdown.
