Gram Vikas Sanstha was established in 1987, under the Bombay Public Trust Act. Objectives Impart education and skills to local students Empower Read morement of youth and women Rural Development Programs Founded two schools Pawan Public School ( Now Anandam Vidyalay) and Pawanraja Nursing School at Pauni. Two, National level residential camps for youth were organized by us in collaboration with National Youth Project, Delhi, where 1000 plus youths came from all across the country. We run the Science Centre in collaboration with Pratham Education Foundation where we teach Science Practically to the kids of 17 villages. Started a livelihood program for single mothers and needy women. Provided full-time livelihood to 70 plus women. Activities In order to empower students with leadership qualities, scientific temper, and diversified personality traits, we have organized several workshops, training, and lectures by experts. Our organization contributed to upgrading the quality of life in Pauni. Following are some of the activities which have taken up by motivating concerned villages: waviness raising drive there road shows, street plays to address the clean environment. Effective social movements to eradicate social inequalities and injustice. We supported 1036 families during the lockdown, provided employment to 22 women through mask-making activity, served fresh 10,000 meals daily to affected people  Achievements So far 5000 students have got benefited from our institute. 100% Placement is done in government and private hospitals for our Nurses. Excellence in quality education (10th and 12th std. passing students) – 100% Ours is the only school in the district over the last 8 years which has a 100% passing rate Ours is the only school in Maharashtra whose two students have received Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Ignite Award at the hands of then-President Shri. Pranab Mukharjee Current Status So far we are running all our activities in rented premises. The structures are very old and dilapidated therefore, we are constructing a new eco-friendly campus. This work is done through donations. Till date we have raised almost 2 Cr. And are looking for more funds to complete the work.
