Programs
-
Solid Waste Management
Earthful Foundation’s flagship initiative, Project Good Waste, focuses on instilling proper waste segregation habits across schools, residential communities, and public events. By educating participants on separating recyclables, organics, and sanitary waste at source, the program ensures that only around 20% of waste ends up in landfills, significantly reducing air and water pollution . In schools and colleges, Earthful places color-coded bins, conducts orientation sessions, and awards a “Green Certificate” upon compliance. For apartments and townships, a similar model is implemented with training and ongoing monitoring. Additionally, the initiative extends to fun-learning activities and placard campaigns aimed at engaging children and the broader community .
-
E‑Waste Detox Initiative
Earthful Foundation conducts its “E‑Waste Detox” initiative to educate institutions—schools, offices, and households—on the environmental risks of electronic waste and proper disposal methods. Participants collect outdated gadgets and hand them over to Pollution Control Board–approved recyclers, ensuring environmentally safe recycling. During a 2021 drive, the Foundation set up drop boxes and offered pickups, raising significant awareness while gathering large volumes of e‑waste. Schools and organizations that participate receive a Certificate of Appreciation, reinforcing the collaborative and educational nature of the program. This community‑oriented campaign underscores Earthful’s commitment to responsible waste management.
-
Sustainable Energy Access
Earthful’s Sustainable Energy program is committed to creating equitable access to clean and reliable energy for India’s underserved rural communities. Through decentralized renewable energy systems such as solar microgrids and community-owned clean cooking initiatives, the program enhances livelihoods, supports health outcomes, and fosters local economic growth. By training local youth as energy entrepreneurs and focusing on gender equity, Earthful ensures long-term sustainability and community ownership. This initiative bridges the energy divide and aligns with global climate goals, empowering communities to transition toward a greener, more inclusive future.
-
Flood Relief Initiative
Earthful Foundation’s flood‑relief program, “Project Xokaah,” supports flood‑prone communities across Assam with both pre‑ and post‑flood assistance. The initiative distributes reusable emergency kits—containing drinking water, food, candles, mosquito repellents, medicines, and other essentials—to prepare villagers before floods strike. Following floods, the team conducts health camps, and distributes clothes, water filters, and food to those displaced in relief camps. By focusing on preparedness and recovery, Project Xokaah works to reduce flood damage and bolster community resilience year after year .
