Niswarth is a charity based at Bagrakote tea garden Dooars, started by Late Mrs. Neelam Kumar and Mr. Harsh Kumar who are co-founders of the organiza Read moretion registered in 2007. Our Vision and Mission is.. "Empowerment of Physically/mentally challenged and underprivileged people in our tea districts, local communities, villages and surrounding areas." We are committed to social justice, sustainable development and human rights in response to needs of the under-represented and marginalised sections of society. The beneficiaries we have targeted are those who were brought in as contract laborers by the British in the 18th Century to start tea production in North East India. Unfortunately these people were 'forgotten' as India become a free country and now one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
Action
Niswarth conducts disability camps, provides education and employment assistance, and arranges eye camps to help the disabled and underprivileged.
