Gyaan Adab

Under Gyaan Adab there is a special outreach program where we take the literature program to the chawls and basis to focus on ladies in the age group Read moreof 25 -50 years. These ladies have missed their “window” of education during their early years either due to poverty, early marriage, etc. Gyaan Adab has appointed a team of qualified social workers who take the Gyaan Ruchi Program to the basis. We begin by providing the ladies (groups of 25-30) a set of novels and books in Marathi, Hindi, and English. Our team has prepared more than 60 modules covering the self, self, and family and self-leadership. We enable the ladies to become self-confident, gain practical day-to-day knowledge by learning English, diet, exercise, arts and crafts, and health-related information. Each group of ladies is systematically taken through this process of learning and education to be able to manage themselves better, handle their family situations confidently, and be able to become leaders and future earning members of their families. During COVID-19, most of these families went through severe financial difficulties since their husbands have lost jobs, and the ladies who were maidservants have also lost the jobs. The ladies who were running petty businesses and earning day-to-day wages have lost their source of income. Gyaan Adab (Gyaan Ruchi) works closely with 600 ladies in various basis and is now trying re-habilitate them by providing them training in various skill sets supported by equipment and tools to begin a new trade from where they can begin to earn money and eventually become self-sufficient (Atma-Nirbhar).
