Tara Sansthan operates four eye hospitals in Udaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Lon (Ghaziabad) and Faridabad, providing free eye care and cataract surgeries to impoverished rural communities. These hospitals boast modern facilities and skilled medical staff. Additionally, the organisation conducts eye camps to identify and treat cataract patients, offering free services including diagnosis, surgeries, medications, spectacles, and post-operative care. Through these initiatives, Tara Sansthan aims to alleviate the burden of eye ailments among the underprivileged, particularly in remote areas where access to treatment is limited.

Just 3 months after establishment of Tara Sansthan’s first eye hospital, Old age home was also opened on 3rd February, 2012 to provide relief to helpless and suffering people with accommodation, food, clothing, medical care, entertainment and a homely atmosphere – all absolutely Free-of-Cost in the Old Age Home. After starting an old age home with 45 beds in Udaipur, Tara Sansthan went ahead and added –

1. Shrimati Krishna Sharma Old Age Home in Udaipur with a facility of 150 beds in 2012
2. 20 beds facility old age home was opened in Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) in 2016
3. Govt. old age home in Udaipur (with PPP mode) with 40 bed capacity opened in 2018
4. 120 beds facility Maa Draupadi Devi old age home, was opened in Udaipur on September 2022
5. Mumukshu Bhawan in Kashi Vishwanath corridor with 40 bed capacity opened in 2022
6. 40 bed capacity old age home in Head office of Tara Sansthan Udaipur opened in 2026
7. 100 bed capacity old age home in Ramnagar, Banaras opened in 2026.

Shikhar Bhargava Public School, Udaipur was established in memory of Shri Shikhar Bhargava, the late son of Shri N. P. Bhargava — a Delhi-based industrialist, philanthropist, and Chief Patron of Tara Sansthan. The school is driven by a compassionate mission: to provide free, quality education to children of widowed mothers who lack adequate financial resources, as well as to children who have lost both parents. To ensure that no child is deprived of learning due to economic hardship, the school does not charge any admission or tuition fees. Students are provided with free textbooks and stationery, and transportation facilities are arranged to bring children from remote and underserved areas to the school. Through care, dignity, and equal opportunity, the institution strives to build a brighter and more secure future for every child it serves.

The program started from July the 1st 2016, and objective of this special evening school was to help provide a better future to rag-picking and wandering street kids from nearby slum areas of Udaipur. The program aims at providing primary education as well as sense of hygiene to the rag-pickers. They are also given lessons on culture and moral values and then, there is dance and games etc. Besides, the kids are treated to snacks.There is a good strength of 50 kids attending classes regularly. The parents of the children are also very happy with the initiative and are all praise for Tara Sansthan for providing the kids such opportunity. They say that the kids have higher level of hygiene awareness even at home and behave very well now. According to the teachers, the labourers’ children have lots of hidden talent and abilities to become better citizens, given the right platform. And Tara Sansthan has certainly provided them this much needed platform.

Tara Sansthan runs a school for the education of children of single women completely free of cost and at concessional rates for children of poor class.
The patron of the institute, respected Doctor J.P. Sharma ji, donated land for the school in Loni and also helped in the construction of the school. With the initiative of Sharmaji, other donors associated with our organization gave their invaluable support and brought this work to fruition. Delhi resident Mr. Anil Goyal and his wife Mrs. Ela Goyal decided to dedicate this school to their mother. This school was inaugurated on 20 April 2025.

This Program is a distinct humanitarian endeavour launched by Tara Sansthan. We have found in surveys conducted by us that many widowed women – in rural areas and cities, are languishing in very poor conditions. These widows have no source of sustenance and have also to bear the responsibility of aged parents- in-law and young children. The story of their survival is very painful. Tara Sansthan has started helping just a few of them by providing cash support every month. This effort of helping the widowed women through Widow Help Scheme (Gauri) needs strengthening, and we appeal to all kind hearted Donors to come forward in support of this humanitarian endeavour with generous donations. These are a few of the widowed women receiving cash support from Tara Sansthan every month.

Tara Sansthan is providing support in the form of supply of ration to those aged people, who are very poor, lonely and helpless, have no source of income, are infirm and weak, are incapable of doing any work or taking up any job, have no one in family to take care of them, have to depend upon the mercy of others for food.
Tara identifies such needy people through surveys and makes arrangements for supply of ration at their door steps, every month.
