Center for Rural Prosperity and Research-CRPR is a women-oriented voluntary registered organization working for development activities in Tonk and Ajm Read moreer district of Rajasthan specially in the area of maternal and child health, child care and protection, micro-credit-SHGs, women and adolescent empowerment, environment and livelihood promotion as well as soil and water conservation in deprived areas. The origin of the organization emerges from a series of the campaign among youths of the area who are basically facing various disadvantaged situations for their community as well as the area where they reside. The diverse situation covers severe drought, maternal and child deaths due to lack of health facilities, better services and lack of enough understanding and knowledge base. They think a lot and decided that for all kinds of intervention should be regularized through a formal organization who work intensively at a local level covering problems and solution of the area and an organization is constitutionally formed by name of “CRPR- Center for Rural Prosperity and Research. The organization developed a strategy to create sensitization and awareness among the community and finally, they developed a “Communication Team” who led all social issues and local problems and displayed the way of solution through street play or cultural shows.  The journey of CRPR is now 20 years and focused on effective services of the organization are still with the community of the area who we dedicated since the beginning.


Issue

1. Child Safety : Anti child Trafficking Awareness, Adolescent sexual harassment raising and cover the all abuse to all children from the criminal. 2. RMC : Respectful Maternal Care services delivered by Govt. Services providers and ensure the demand for Quality care with dignity. 3. Equal rights: Every marginalized community should get the benefits from the collective resources of the village, and the society, government and public representatives should pay attention to the loss of natural resources and secure it for tomorrow, so communication team organizes village cultural programs at village level.


Action

At present, through the Safe Village Program, mainly for the protection of women and children, to protect them from domestic violence and sexual exploitation as well as child trafficking, child marriage and child labour, 25 thousand boys and girls and her mother fathers are being actively supported in 100+ villages of Tonk and Kekri districts.

Impact

For child safety, 21250 boys and girls from 85 villages are now learning life lessons with joy for a safe life. Rural women demand maternal health and adolescent health services with respect from 10 primary health centres, one community health facilities and 55 SHC in Malpura sub division in Tonk District. it is real changes at community level.

    We provide training support to the Medicare Relief Society and the Village Health and Nutrition Unit, emphasizing advocacy for social accountability in maternal and child health. This training takes place at various healthcare facilities including the Sub Center Primary Health Center and the CHC Block Hospital.
