To foster thrift and savings habits among rural women, particularly landless laborers, and promote solidarity, TAPWA has mobilized 1400 women in Nilakottai taluk of Dindigul district, forming 110 Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs). Through capacity-building initiatives including socio-cultural awareness, leadership, legal literacy, micro-credit management, entrepreneurship, and skill development training, these SHG members are equipped to enhance their capabilities. TAPWA facilitates access to financial assistance through linkages with financial institutions, enabling these women to transition from dependence to entrepreneurship. As a result, they can now educate their children without financial constraints. The Income Generation Program (IGP) has empowered many women beneficiaries to engage in various trades such as garland making, vermicompost production, petty shops, vending of bajra, fruits, and vegetables, as well as selling cooking oil, tea, snacks, and other consumables.

Additionally, educational and recreational materials are provided. TAPWA also conducts a yearly school enrollment campaign involving women SHG members to reduce dropouts, enhance enrollment rates, and promote the importance of education while fostering relationships among students, parents, and teachers. Furthermore, sports activities are organized to promote physical and mental development, engaging students from evening tuition centers and primary and higher secondary schools in various competitions.
