  • Artificial Limb Center (ALC)

The inception of the Artificial Limb Centre at Kiwanis dates back to 1999, marking the initiation of its project in Delhi. Established with the primary goal of offering mobility aids, including Prosthesis, Orthosis appliances, and Polio Callipers, the centre focuses on assisting the differently-abled.
The central objective is to deliver high-quality, customized artificial limbs that cater to the individual needs of each patient, all provided free of charge. For technical support, the club initially collaborated with the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) in Kanpur, which served as a consultant for technology and manufacturing inputs. Subsequently, the centre has forged a collaboration with Voice of Differently Abled (VODA) USA.
The Kiwanis Club of New Delhi remains committed to its core activity of providing artificial limbs to those facing physical challenges. On an average, the centre extends its services to over 200 patients monthly.

The Kiwanis Cerebral Palsy Centre, situated at Kiwanis Bhawan, is dedicated to offering care and treatment for individuals impacted by Cerebral Palsy (CP). To provide comprehensive care, an interdisciplinary team of doctors, including a Paediatrician, Neurologist, Psychologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Speech Therapist, and Occupational Therapist, conducts the initial examination. While the centre currently houses a General Physician, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Speech Therapist, additional specialists are consulted at other hospitals/centres as needed.
