With 15 million blind people, India has the highest number of blind people worldwide. Ignorance, illness, and malnourishment are some of the causes of this problem. Blindness carries a stigma, and many blind Indians have difficulty finding employment. Students who are physically disabled or blind can receive vocational training from our facility. Seventy students are trained in a variety of subjects, including music, computer operation, chair caning, door mat manufacturing, office file and paper folder creation, and telephone use.

The blind and visually impaired use braille as a writing system for books, menus, signage, lift buttons and money. Refreshable braille displays enable braille users to read computer screens and other electronic supports. They can type it on a braille writer, like a portable braille note-taker, or on a computer that prints using a braille embosser. They can also write in braille using the original slate and stylus. Our visually challenged students learn how to read and write in Braille from our Braille tutors.
