Vimukthi Aids Tadegattuva Mahila Sangha

Vimukthi Aids Thadegattuva Mahila Sangha is the FSW-CBO in Bellary registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act1960 on 01-04-1999 vide its r Read moreegistration number 159/99. The CBO strengthened with the support of KHPT by undergoing various trainings and handholding process. With the financial and technical support of the KHPT they have implemented Samastha project during 2007 to 2011. In the implementation process they formed the support groups of the community at gross root level across the district and following the democratization process they have formed and strengthened the Taluk & Sub committees at District&Taluk level. Presently the CBO is implementing migration project (02TIs) at Bellary and Hospet with limited staff. Majority of them are new and non community members and also they have not undergone any of the Institutional Building trainings. KHPT continued support to the Vimukthi under post transition for some training. With the vision to make it to an Independent CBO budgeted for some of the activities under Social protection. The CBO is well equipped with the required statutory requirements like 12A, 80G and FCRA and also well trained Board members. But it is not having any full time staff to organize meetings, mobilize the community for various activities as presently it is not having any project to intervene with the requirements of the community needs. The present migrant TI staff are also not able to address the said need as they have their own limitations with the coverage of area and by day to day responsibilities in the project implementation.
