Since 1998, the Spine Foundation has been training young orthopaedic surgeons through its three-year Fellowship program, designed for post-MS/DNB individuals. The program, conducted across Mumbai's tertiary care institutes such as Lilavati Hospital and Breach Candy Hospital, offers comprehensive training in various aspects of orthopaedic spine practice, including degenerative conditions, trauma, and neoplasms. Fellows gain hands-on experience in clinics, ward management, and surgeries under the guidance of experienced surgeons like Dr. Bhojraj and Dr. Abhay Nene. Emphasis is placed not only on technical skills but also on communication and interpersonal abilities, particularly in interacting with patients and families. Fellows receive a stipend as remuneration, and upon completion, are awarded a Fellowship Completion Certificate, signifying their proficiency as spine surgeons.
