Amidst widespread industry closures, India witnessed a sharp rise in unemployment, escalating from 5.27% in 2019 to 7.11% in 2020, as reported by the Centre for Economic Data and Analysis (CEDA). Sectors such as Entertainment, Hospitality, and Daily wage labourers bore the brunt of multiple lockdowns. The COVID-19 initiatives strategically reached out to these affected industries, providing crucial interim support. Emphasizing the importance of awareness and resource support, the foundation aims to combat the pandemic and aid those in need.
