Developmental Association for Human Advancement-DEHAT is a nonprofit organisation working in the Aspirational districts (declared by NITI Ayog on th Read moree basis of underperforming development indicators) of two states; Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. The districts are Bahraich, Shrawasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar and Sonbhadra of Uttar Pradesh and Gadchiroli, Washim, Osmanabad, Nandurbar and Nashik of Maharashtra state on the issues of child rights for the last 20 years in India. We are accredited by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India and empanelled by the TISS National CSR Hub, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Samman platform and GuideStar and registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 and has all the legal compliances required in India including the 80G Section Income Tax Act, 12AA Act, PAN, TAN, MHA’s Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010 and NGO Darpan of NITI Ayog. Till date, we have impacted more than 2.5 lakh children through various initiatives. Our work has also been rewarded and recognised by some of the platforms and organisations mentioned below: Rockefeller Foundation and The Resource Alliance UK’s    India NGO Award  for the transparency and quality implementation of the programs  Dasra’s Girl Power Award  for the Impact that we are making in the education sector by providing free of cost education to dropouts/out of school girls.  Global NGO Award  from Rockefellers Foundation’s in which we were under top 5 organization (WaterAid UK, Ashinaga Japan, Headstrong Ireland, Living Earth Uganda and DEHAT from India ) from across the world and this award has been given for the fundraising and utilization mechanisms we adopt.  ABP News and World CSR Congress of CSR’s Certificate of Merit  for implementing quality and transparent initiatives under CSR Projects.  Manjunath Shanmugam Integrity Awards  (Only given to 3 people in the entire country) for fighting citizen’s rights who were once denied to even be Indian Citizens.  SONY’s Social Bravery Awards  from Bollywood [Mr. NP Singh (COO of SONY Group) and BP Singh (Producer of CID show)]  Uttar Pradesh’s Social Enterprise of the Year 2015  from Honorable Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav.  ‘Swayam’ Award -2016 from Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mr Akhilesh Yadav  "NGO of the Year Award-2017"  under  India International CSR Excellence Awards-2017  organized at PHD Chamber of Commerce, New Delhi. Featured in “ The Vision of Antyodaya” - Documentation & Compilation of the Best Practices of Sustainable Development As Propounded by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The best practices across the country has been featured after a competitive selection procedure.
