  • Sustainable Livelihood Programme

Mijwan Welfare Society operates the Mijwan Livelihood Center for Women, empowering rural women in Mijwan village, Uttar Pradesh, through Chikankari embroidery. Collaborating with designers and brands, these women earn an average of 3500 INR monthly under the "Made in Mijwan" brand. Starting with one woman in 1993, the centre now accommodates 350 women, fostering a peer-based value chain for skill development and financial management. Led by Sanyogita Prajapati, the program aims to create rural women entrepreneurs, boosting household income and minimizing migration.
