About

Bala Vikasa Social Service Society is a voluntary not for profit organization registered in the year 1991 and is located in Warangal Telangana of In Read moredia. Since its inception Bala Vikasa has been actively implementing community development projects in the sectors of water, women, agriculture, education, environment conservation, capacity building, incubating social enterprises, and humanitarian. Through these projects, Bala Vikasa has reached over 5 million rural poor from 6500 villages of 6 states (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Chhattisgarh). Bala Vikasa works with a motto of helping the communities to help themselves. Building the capacities of beneficiaries has been an integral part of all the projects. Bala Vikasa has been implementing the projects through 3 vertices namely 1. Community Driven Development projects (implement projects at grass root level) 2. Peoples' Development Training Center (To build the capacities of CBOs, CSOs, NGOs, Government officials) 3. Bala Vikasa International Center (To inculcate responsible business among the corporates and also to incubate social enterprises)

Bala Vikasa has implemented 1,414 Community Water Purification Plants, 480+ Overhead Tanks, 6,600+ Borewells, mobilized 230,000+ rural women into Self Help Groups, and transformed 130 villages into Model Communities.
