Hella Auto Service Training Programme
Hella Auto Service Technician Academy, a collaborative effort involving Hella, Prayaas, NSDC, ASDC, and Berkeley Andhra Smart Village, focuses on enhancing the technical skills of graduates and dropouts. The academy aims to facilitate employment in local OEMs (Automobile Service Centers). The training centre setup includes essential amenities such as a table, projector, laptop with sound system, whiteboard, and around thirty chairs. The Auto Service Technician Level-3 course, aligned with ASDC and NSDC norms, covers fundamental automotive terminologies and soft skills (motivation, attitude, goal setting, etc.) provided by IL&FS.

Areca Plate Programme
The Areca leaf plate manufacturing training centre in Shimoga, Karnataka, is a collaborative effort between Prayaas and Daya Trust, aiming to train and employ underprivileged women in slums. The setup includes a training room equipped with a plate manufacturing machine, LPG gas cylinder, board, and ten chairs. The experienced trainer, with a minimum of two years in the industry, conducts a year-long course comprising basic tailoring for six months and advanced design for the next six months. Student identification is done through community outreach and word of mouth, casting a wider net for potential trainees.

Tailoring Training Programme
The Tailoring Training Centre in Shimoga, Karnataka, operated jointly by Prayaas and Daya Trust, focuses on empowering and employing underprivileged women in slums. The centre is equipped with six tailoring machines, a table, a board, and ten chairs. An experienced tailoring instructor, with a minimum of five years in the garment industry, conducts a comprehensive one-year course. The training covers basic tailoring for six months and advanced design for the subsequent six months, allowing women to either secure employment in garment manufacturing units or become self-employed as skilled tailors. So far, 182 women have received training, with 103 successfully securing placements.
