Our Youth Social Community (OYSC) was conceived with the vision of enriching the lives of underprivileged children, young adults, senior citizens, and Read more individuals with physical or mental challenges in India. Guided by the tagline "we rise by helping others," the Trust is dedicated to addressing key concerns faced by women, youth, daily wage labourers, and the homeless. Originating as an initiative led by 17-year-old Rohan Pappu, later joined by his younger brother Sohan Pappu in 2016, OYSC began with a noble concept, sparked by inspiration and driven by a young man's sincere desire to make a positive impact on the world. Rohan Pappu, after spending much of his childhood exploring small villages in Southern India, witnessed the struggles and hardships faced by individuals in their daily lives. Upon completing his 10th standard, Rohan became acutely aware of the systemic injustices prevalent in Indian society. Driven by passion and a commitment to effect change, he initiated efforts to raise awareness among government officials about the challenges faced by villagers, intending to develop solutions. OYSC emerged as an organization where like-minded individuals could come together to exchange ideas and formulate plans for community change. The initial campaigns focused on issues such as poverty, health, and environmental concerns. As Rohan pursued further education, his younger brother Sohan, at the age of 15, registered the Trust under the Indian Trusts Act,1882, and assumed the role of Vice Chairman of OYSC, continuing the organization's impactful work. Since then, OYSC has experienced exponential growth, gaining national recognition as a formal NGO. The vision expanded to encompass women's rights and education. Through the dedication of the Pappu brothers, along with the support of volunteers and donors, OYSC aspires to create a brighter, united future for all of India. OYSC, with the assistance of its volunteers, has conducted numerous campaigns in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, addressing issues like awareness, food distribution, educational classes, healthcare, and providing basic needs to the impoverished. All expenses incurred during these campaigns are self-funded by the pocket money given by their parents. The Trust's current main objective revolves around menstruation. Its objectives include improving public health conditions, educating people about health and sanitation, empowering women, providing medical healthcare facilities, promoting education, assisting the physically handicapped, and rendering aid during natural calamities. Additionally, OYSC targets Covid-19 emergency relief, women empowerment, health, environmental issues, and education in its ongoing efforts to create a positive impact on society.
