Sharan - Shelter for women

Following an order from the Indian Supreme Court that declared, "No woman or child should be found on the streets without a shelter for the night," the Bombay YMCA was given permission to oversee a shelter that was provided by the Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation. In 2016, the "Sharan" project became a reality thanks to the Bombay Rotary Club's sponsorship. Currently, it provides housing to impoverished women and children, who are also trained in vocational skills to enhance their quality of life.
