The Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) is one of the oldest and largest non-profit community service organizations in India. A community-based o Read morerganization, we work collaboratively with government and non-government organizations, and partners to provide a range of programs and services to build strong people, strong families, strong communities.

Bombay YMCA provides accommodation, hospitality, meeting facilities, outdoor and indoor games, art and cultural activities, educational institutes, vocational training centers, intellectual pursuits, social services, and camping services across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Bombay YMCA caters to men, women and children of all religions, creeds and cultures, providing opportunities for growth and development for every section of society, especially youth and those from lower strata.
Vision & Mission
The YMCA seeks to help young people develop their wholesome personality - mind, body and spirit - on sound principles, with the basis and model being the personality of Jesus Christ whose life and teachings form its guiding principles.
Programs

Sharan - Shelter for women
Following an order from the Indian Supreme Court that declared, "No woman or child should be found on the streets without a shelter for the night," the Bombay YMCA was given permission to oversee a shelter that was provided by the Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation. In 2016, the "Sharan" project became a reality thanks to the Bombay Rotary Club's sponsorship. Currently, it provides housing to impoverished women and children, who are also trained in vocational skills to enhance their quality of life.
Milestones & Track Record
Bombay YMCA was established on April 25, 1875 and has grown to have seven Branches and eleven Centres and Departments spread across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai over the past 145+ years.
