Rotary Bangalore West Trust, located in Bangalore, is the community service vehicle of Rotary Bangalore West which is part of Rotary International (Ro Read moretary Foundation) started in the year 1997. It is registered under the Indian trust act, income tax act, and companies act for enabling carrying out service projects to the community in general without any distinction to caste, creed, religion etc. During its working years, the trust has carried out a number of service projects in the fields of health, education, women empowerment and the general well being of the community. The trust has been supported by contributions from Rotarians, corporates, and friends and well-wishers.

Programs

  • Prasanna Nayana

    The Prasanna Nayana project is a monthly initiative focused on eye checkups and preventive cataract surgeries, undertaken in collaboration with Sharada Hospital located in Shankarapuram. Screening sessions are conducted every second Friday of the month, running from 9 a.m to 12.00 p.m, and take place at Veeranjayneya Temple in Mahalakshmi Layout. This project aims to provide essential eye care services to the community, offering screenings and surgeries to prevent and treat vision-related issues, particularly cataracts, ensuring better eye health and overall well-being for individuals in need.

  • RYLA (Online) Seminar - AI, ChatGPT

    The RYLA (online) Seminar on AI and ChatGPT, organized by the District 3192 committee, is scheduled for the 15th of July from 7 to 8.30 p.m. This seminar aims to explore the applications and implications of artificial intelligence, particularly focusing on ChatGPT technology. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussions, learn about the latest advancements, and understand the impact of AI on various sectors. The seminar provides a platform for individuals interested in AI to expand their knowledge and network with like-minded peers.
