Despite the state's efforts to combat substance abuse, including stricter law enforcement and public awareness campaigns, the consumption of drugs such as cannabis, opioids, alcohol, and synthetic drugs continues to rise. The problem is often linked to factors like poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education and healthcare. Smuggling routes across state borders and neighboring countries further exacerbate the issue. Addressing drug use in Bihar requires a multifaceted approach involving government intervention, community support, and rehabilitation programs.
