A group of socially conscious and energetic young people founded Deepastambha Charitable Trust to act as "a pillar of light" in addressing societal ch Read moreallenges. This initiative has evolved into a programme for individuals in their fifties, offering monthly social activities suited to their comfort and skills. The core philosophy focuses on shifting from criticism to collaboration, promoting a sense of responsibility towards societal issues. Deepastambha works to uplift communities through education, clothing, and food services. Since its start, it has mobilised over 2,000 volunteers, completed 750 projects, and tackled 125 social issues through 185 partnerships. The NGO runs a "2 hours per week" initiative, where volunteers participate in activities like cleanliness drives, educational support, and blood donation camps.

Since its inception in 2013, Gramarthan has focused on participatory models, promoting self-governance and sustainability in rural communities. Key initiatives include building a 25 lakh-litre water reservoir in Ranjane with Renishaw Metrology Systems and desilting check dams in Ambed and Khamgaon with Praj Foundation, achieving approximately 43.6 million litres of water recharge.
