The organisation has begun offering after-school instruction to girls enrolled in village schools in grades four through eight. To train them, we have designated trainers. We invite mothers of girls to participate in these training sessions as observers in shifts. We have requested the use of a playground for this activity from a nearby school or community. For this event, Chennai Great Coles Academy and we are working together.

Adolescent boys and girls in high schools participate in our exciting, activity-based, gender-sensitive education programs in distinct groups that are specifically developed with them in mind. The goal of these seminars is to dispel long-held misconceptions about gender roles that stem from social conditioning in a culture that frequently views women as second-class citizens. We think that this training will benefit young women more as they get older and, in particular, help them stay away from domestic abuse. Women learn to be assertive while carrying out their chosen obligations in their families and jobs, while men learn to respect women's roles, give them space, and act independently.
