To support the nation's student population's need for online education and skill development, Softsmith Infotech Private Limited established OpenMento Read morer in 2009 as a Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative. In 2014, the Open Mentor Trust was formally registered under the Indian Trust Act of 1882 as a Public Charitable and Educational Trust. Chennai serves as the Trust's registered office. The trust is eligible for a 50% donation exemption thanks to its 80G certificate. The Trust's primary goal is to continuously improve skills to further the cause of education in the nation. In addition to offering students access to recorded sessions and online assessments for practice and self-evaluation, Open Mentor Trust offers online courses in software skills relevant to the sector.
