These efforts have improved community health, hygiene, safety, and economic welfare, particularly empowering women by reducing the time spent fetching water. This year, Hetero installed an RO plant in Nandigama Village and carried out pipeline works in Boyapadu Village of Nakkapally, aiming to provide sustainable water solutions.

Recognising the importance of connectivity and modern amenities, the organisation has focused on sustainable development, improving access to health, education, and employment, and promoting community welfare and safety. Key initiatives this financial year include building a CC road in Bonthapally village, which improves access to the state highway and reduces accidents. A new Panchayat Raj Office was constructed in Jinnaram Village, providing a modern facility for administrative activities. In Domadugu, an underground drainage system was installed, benefiting residents by promoting hygiene and reducing disease risks. Additionally, LED street lights and electrical lines were installed in Upamaka and Dondwaka villages, respectively.

The Swachh Bharat Mission, initiated by India's Prime Minister in 2014, emphasised cleanliness and hygiene across the nation. Hetero Labs Limited has actively supported this mission, recognising the crucial link between hygiene and health. This financial year, it donated a tractor and mini-truck to the Kaverammapet Gram Panchayat in Jadcharla Mandal to aid in efficient garbage collection and disposal, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment. Additionally, Hetero constructed modern toilets at ZPHS School in Nakkapally Mandal, benefiting both students and staff. This initiative also supports girl child education by addressing the lack of proper toilet facilities, which often leads to absenteeism and high dropout rates among girls. The new toilets provide a secure environment, encouraging girls to continue their education confidently.

These villages often lack access to quality healthcare due to their remote locations and poor transportation. Hetero Labs has successfully introduced various initiatives to enhance the primary healthcare system, significantly improving the well-being of local communities. The organisation's efforts include promoting health awareness, improving healthcare infrastructure, providing free medical check-ups, and distributing free medicines. Through these initiatives, Hetero Labs has made quality healthcare accessible to previously underserved communities, positively impacting their health and lives.

Hetero Labs Limited has made significant advancements in providing quality eye care to underprivileged communities. As part of its CSR outreach, the organisation has implemented notable initiatives such as free eye check-ups, cataract surgeries, post-operative care, and the distribution of spectacles and medicines through eye camps. It has established modern vision centres in Nakkapally Mandal, Andhra Pradesh, and Siddipet District, Telangana, to serve nearby villages. The Siddipet Vision Centre, named Krishna Sindura Eye Centre, was launched in collaboration with the LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, and was inaugurated by Hetero's Chairman, Dr. B.P.S Reddy, and Telangana's Finance Minister, Sri T. Harish Rao. This centre offers comprehensive eye care services similar to those provided by the LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad.

Hetero Labs Limited focuses on enhancing employability among India's youth, leveraging the demographic advantage. Anticipating sectoral growth, the organisation has introduced Capacity Building initiatives to boost skills and entrepreneurial abilities. Its two-tiered approach targets school and college students, as well as graduates.

In collaboration with Lead India 2020 Foundation, Hetero Labs provides soft skills and personality development training to youth in Telangana, with plans for expansion. The Darpan Skill Development programme offers hands-on pharmaceutical industry training to science graduates, preparing them for employment in top pharma companies. Trainees receive stipends, and top performers are directly recruited.

Additionally, Hetero Labs supports traditional occupations such as farming, fishing, handlooms, and handicrafts by providing necessary equipment, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for the poor.

Hetero Labs Limited integrates tree plantation and conservation into its CSR initiatives, recognising these actions as effective solutions to environmental issues like groundwater depletion, floods, de-siltation, air pollution, and global warming. The organisation promotes tree planting within and outside its facilities to support environmental sustainability. It also educates employees and local communities on the importance of preserving green cover to ensure the longevity of these initiatives. Hetero Labs partners with state governments to promote community plantation, sapling distribution, and afforestation. In the current financial year, the organisation distributed 162,940 saplings and sponsored 19,000 tree guards in Manoor and Nagalididda Villages of Sangareddy District as part of Telangana State Government's Harithaharam Campaign. These activities have resulted in improved groundwater levels and reduced air pollution in the communities.

The organisation is committed to preserving and promoting folk arts, music, dance, traditions, and festivals native to the regions surrounding its facilities. It actively participates in the restoration of heritage structures that hold cultural and spiritual significance for local communities. As part of its cultural endeavours, Hetero sponsors free Kuchipudi dance classes for children from orphanages and government schools in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This initiative not only preserves the classical dance form for future generations but also provides opportunities for students to showcase their talents nationally.
