Ravindra Nath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur, covers an area of 57 acres and received MCI recognition in 1966. It currently offers 200 undergraduate Read moreand 121 postgraduate seats, including advanced courses such as DM in Cardiology and M.Ch. in Neurosurgery and Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS). The college is affiliated with five hospitals, including Maharana Bhupal Hospital (1,306 beds) and Pannadhay Zanana Hospital (440 beds), together serving around 6,288 outpatients daily. The institution provides specialised services in areas such as Cardiology, CTVS, Neurology, and Neurosurgery, along with modern amenities like an updated library, 99 staff residences, and two lodges for patient attendants. Recent developments include the creation of a dedicated Cardiology Department in 2002, a Cardiothoracic Surgery unit (2006), a Trauma Centre (2011), and an HIV/AIDS ART centre. Additionally, the college features a paediatric hospital, a swine flu ward, and ongoing projects like a super specialty block, an e-library, and plans for HMIS integration.

Patient Education and Awareness
The Department of Pathology's Cytology Section focuses on raising patient awareness about cervical cancer through Pap smear screenings and encourages self-examination for breast cancer. Also the Tobacco Cessation Clinic, located on the first floor of the new OPD and open on all working days, provides counseling for tobacco users and their families. Nicotine replacement therapy is offered when needed, and referrals are made as required.
