Vision
The Cisco Foundation collaborates with nonprofit and non-governmental organizations around the world to develop technology-based solutions in our investment areas. We focus this work on underserved communities and look for solutions that harness the power of the Internet and communications technology.
Investment areas: We focus our support where we can make the biggest impact—crisis response, education, and economic empowerment.
Support for nonprofits: We make strategic grants to programs with long-lasting impact on a local, national, and global scale.
Engaged employees: We empower employees to give more by matching their donations and making cash donations when they volunteer.

Niramay
DescriptionCollaborated with the Assam state government and NGO Piramal Swasthya to launch “Niramay,” a pilot program to strengthen digital healthcare infrastructure. We supported the deployment of AMRIT, a technology platform developed by Piramal Swasthya to create and store electronic health records. AMRIT was deployed in 24 health centers, three primary care clinics, and three first referral units to enable faster diagnostics, telemedicine interactions, and collection of medical data at the grassroots level.

Cisco’s Takeback and Recycle Program
DescriptionCisco significantly reduces the environmental impact of used electronic products through its end-of-life programs. Cisco Customer Recycling Solutions is designed to harvest and reuse the materials contained in the equipment collected. Products are disassembled and then processed to retrieve materials such as steel, aluminum, copper, plastics, etc. We return these materials to the market where they are made into new products. More than 99 percent of the electronics sent for processing are recycled. Cisco's Customer Recycling Solutions enables you to properly recycle products that have reached their end of useful life. Customer Recycling Solutions offer the following benefits:
