    STEM for Girls India - IBM SkillsBuild (SkillsBuild for Adult Learners, IBM SkillsBuild for High School, IBM SkillsBuild for High School (Transition from STEM for Girls)
    Teacher capacity building - main objectives of the IBM STEM for Girls program is to empower teachers and involve them closely in the intervention schools to engage/train students on computational thinking, STEM, and agency development for girls

    Sparkle Series - Sparkle Series - an online interactive education programme for 10,000 Vigyan Jyoti scholars of class 11 from 200 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across the country.
    PyCode Sessions - is a series of online classes which are being conducted for Vigyan Jyoti Students of class IX to provide them with exposure to python language which will help them in developing the key 21stcentury skills like Logical Thinking, Creativity, Computational Thinking, Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving

    Vigyan Jyoti - IBM has forged a partnership with Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) as an extension to IBM’s flagship programme “STEM for Girls” running in 13 states to create a robust STEM ecosystem that creates critical thinkers, problem solvers, and next generation innovators through MANAK- a program targeting to build one million ideas rooted in science from school students. The partnership aims at strengthening the Vigyan Jyoti programme running successfully in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas

    Disaster Mitigation & Pandemic Response - IBM partnered with NASSCOM Foundation to extend its support to Karnataka, Uttarakhand and Haryana CHC and Civil hospitals to fulfil their various emergency need such as medical oxygen cylinders, multi para monitors, ventilators, etc. In addition to that IBM sponsored 4200 dry ration kits to the economically weaker section families who had lost their livelihood due to pandemic. This immediate health infra support from IBM helps the COVID warriors and stranded patients in their fight against the COVID 19

    IBM has long been committed to protecting the environment. We will continue to drive positive environmental impacts and apply our leading technology innovations and expertise to address global environmental challenges.

    As a technology company, IBM can play a key role in enabling organizations to turn sustainability ambition into action.
    By the end of 2025, we expect to provide $30 million worth of cash, technology, and services through our IBM Sustainability Accelerator to organizations helping populations vulnerable to environmental threats. In 2024, we announced up to an additional $45 million investment over the next five years.

    Description

    Achieve a year-to-year reduction in water withdrawals at larger IBM locations in water-stressed regions1
    Source paper and paper/wood-based packaging directly procured by IBM from forests that are sustainably managed and certified as such
    Plant 50 pollinator gardens at IBM locations globally by year-end 2023 to support biodiversity
    Approximately 85% of water withdrawals at these locations are for domestic consumption in the workplace and heating, ventilating and air conditioning of buildings.

    Description

    Divert 90% (by weight) of IBM’s total nonhazardous waste from landfill and incineration by 2025 through reuse, recycling, composting and waste-to-energy processes
    Use waste-to-energy processes for no more than 10% (by weight) of the diverted waste
    Eliminate nonessential, single-use plastic items (including cups, straws, cutlery, plates, carry bags and food containers) from IBM-managed cafeteria operations globally by 2025

    Reduce IBM’s operational GHG emissions 65% by 2025 against base year 2010, adjusted for acquisitions and divestitures
