In 2015, these initiatives reached over 54,000 children, young people, and women across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, and Telangana. Since 2016, all community investments in education have been part of the HSBC Skills for Life Programme, which was launched in 2015 with a budget of INR 1 billion. This five-year programme focuses on three key areas: developing employment-related skills for young people to ensure sustainable livelihoods in local industries; enhancing teacher training to improve educational quality; and providing entrepreneurship and financial education for women in disadvantaged rural and urban communities, empowering them to manage finances and establish businesses.
