  • SAKSHAM DHEEMAHI PROJECT

    District

The Madurai chapter has been running a Day Care Centre, an initiative by mothers of children with autism, and intellectual challenges, for 25 autistic & intellectually challenged individuals since October 2019.

The Dheemahi Project represents a natural expansion, triggered by three tragic incidents where parents of autistic children killed (murders) their own children (not wanting to leave them behind alone in an uncaring & unsupportive society) and then committed suicides,
due to loss of livelihood, during Corona, highlighting the desperate need for comprehensive support systems.

Dheemahi will become Madurai's first comprehensive
residential therapeutic & vocational training center offering:

Free services for all beneficiaries regardless of religion, caste, colour or creed, as we do not want any child to be deprived of our services for want of money or parental attitudes.

Residential facilities for orphans and those without family

Imparts life skills, therapies, job skills etc.

Milestones & Track Record

Saksham has established multiple centers across India, launched a digital library with accessible books, and received national recognition for its work.
