Vihang, the first-of-its-kind Bird Museum, showcases photographs of all bird species found in the Nashik district. Its primary aim is to educate children from tribal and urban schools and the general public about the vital role birds play in the ecosystem. The museum highlights birds' importance and activities, including pollination, insect control, seed dispersal, and scavenging. By creating awareness, Vihang emphasizes the significance of conserving bird habitats and understanding their contribution to maintaining ecological balance.

Ongoing activities include conserving biodiversity-rich habitats like Gangapur and Waghad wetlands, grasslands, and forests in Nashik district. Efforts focus on protecting vulture nesting sites at Anjaneri and Vaitarna, organising conservation education programmes, and conducting field trips, camps, and awareness competitions. Conservation of grassland species, exploration of new IBA sites, and collaboration with forest departments are prioritized. Massive nature education programs for tribal children and campaigns to protect Gangapur Dam IBA are also underway.
