The Jaipur Foot, developed in 1968 by a team of orthopaedic surgeons and craftsmen at S.M.S. Medical College Hospital in Jaipur, is a distinctive prosthetic limb technology. It features a non-articulated design that allows for movement in all three planes: dorsiflexion, inversion/eversion, and transverse rotation. This unique design enables amputees to perform activities such as walking, running, trekking, swimming, squatting, sitting cross-legged, and navigating uneven terrain. The Jaipur Foot is versatile, suitable for use with or without shoes, and is recognized for its affordability and functionality.

BMVSS operates a well-equipped physiotherapy centre at its Jaipur headquarters, staffed by highly trained professionals. The centre utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to enhance strength, and mobility, and reduce spasm and swelling. Specialized therapies include Laser Therapy, Shortwave Diathermy, Ultrasound Therapy, Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy, Cervical Traction, Microwave Diathermy with Lumbar Traction Unit, Infrared Radiation, and Cryo Plus Heat Therapy. Exercise units such as Shoulder Pulley, Shoulder Wheel, Triceps Strengthening, Quadriceps Chair, Study Stepper, Rocker, etc for Muscle Strengthening are also available.
