LNM Group Lions Hospital & Research Center in Bhuj has been serving the people of Kutch for over 20 years by providing free and affordable healthcare. Read more It offers various services, such as free dialysis for more than 150 patients from the region, eliminating the need for long-distance travel. The hospital also provides free cataract surgeries, restoring vision and improving the quality of life for many individuals. In addition, it offers concessional services, including dental treatments, hearing aids, general outpatient services, and ambulance services at nominal rates. The hospital's journey began when its chairman, MJF Lion Bharat A.D. Mehta, recognised the challenges faced by kidney disease patients who had to travel over 400 kilometres for dialysis. His vision led to establishing a local dialysis centre, allowing people in Kutch to access essential care without the burden of travel or high costs. Today, LNM Group Lions Hospital remains committed to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the community.

It provides completely free dialysis sessions using advanced machines from a reputed German manufacturer, ensuring high-quality care. A dedicated team of trained professionals delivers treatment while maintaining strict hygiene standards with single-use medical supplies. Since its establishment, the centre has conducted over 182,000 free dialysis sessions, regularly serving more than 150 patients. With two units housing 38 dialysis machines, it aims to expand further by launching a third unit to assist more individuals in need.

The organisation provides free cataract surgeries and eye care services to underserved communities in Kutch, ensuring access to quality treatment. It conducts free eye check-up camps in villages, where patients receive thorough examinations and those requiring surgery are referred for free treatment. Monthly mega eye operation camps, supported by donors, offer comprehensive surgical care at no cost, along with post-operative support for a smooth recovery. Through these initiatives, it aims to restore vision and improve the quality of life for individuals in need.
