With operations across 13 domestic ports in seven maritime states—Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha—APSEZ boasts the most extensive national footprint and robust hinterland connectivity. Its state-of-the-art port facilities are equipped with advanced cargo-handling infrastructure, capable of accommodating the largest vessels arriving at Indian shores. These ports efficiently manage a variety of cargo types, including dry cargo, liquid cargo, crude oil, and containers.

APSEZ has transformed into a comprehensive provider of integrated port infrastructure services, exemplified by the Mundra Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Gujarat. Spanning over 8,000 hectares, the Mundra Economic Hub is a landmark development, offering diverse investment opportunities as India’s largest multi-product SEZ, Free Trade and Warehousing Zone (FTWZ), and Domestic Industrial Zone.

  • Education

    Description

    The Adani Foundation is dedicated to providing value-based, inclusive, and affordable education to marginalized communities through its initiatives, which include four free schools and various financially supported programs.

    * Adani Vidya Mandir, Bhadreshwar, Gujarat - Established in June 2012, this is the second of four free schools operated by the Adani Foundation. The school provides state-of-the-art education, benefiting children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly from the fisherfolk community.

    * Adani World School, Krishnapatnam, Andhra Pradesh - This school offers value-based education, along with free books, uniforms, and midday meals. Currently, 928 students from fisherfolk families are enrolled.

    * Adani DAV School, Odisha - Located near Dhamra Port, this school focuses on educating children from fisherfolk and farming communities, providing them with access to quality learning opportunities.

    * Navchetan Vidyalaya Primary Wing (NVPW), Junagam, Hazira, Surat - Established in 2003 by Navchetan Vikas Mandal, the school is now managed by the Adani Foundation, overseeing both academic and administrative functions.

    * Scholarships for Deserving Students in Surat (Gujarat) and Dhamra (Odisha) - To address the high dropout rates among students, particularly in the Halpati community (a Scheduled Tribe group) in Choryasi Block, Surat, the Adani Foundation has introduced scholarships. These scholarships support deserving students, helping them continue their education and overcome financial barriers, especially during critical years like Class IX.

    * Utthan - The programme operates at the grassroots level, focusing on rural areas and primarily catering to government schools. To ensure smooth execution, Utthan Sahayaks (community volunteers) are deployed to manage the day-to-day functions of the programme within schools.

    * Library Support - To foster a love for reading among upper primary and high school students, the Adani Foundation actively supports the establishment of library facilities in schools. Various activities and competitions are also organized to encourage reading habits and enhance students’ engagement with books.

    * Adani Evening Education Centre (AEEC) - Launched as a pilot project in December 2021, AEECs operate in five port locations under APSEZ. These centers provide evening classes with dedicated tutors and subject matter experts focusing on Mathematics, English, and Science. The initiative aims to reduce school dropout rates and build self-confidence among students attending government schools.

    * Praveshotsav in Dighi, Maharashtra - This unique initiative was introduced in government schools in Dighi to warmly welcome Class 1 students on their first day of school. Organized by the Adani Foundation in collaboration with teachers, the event is designed to make the first day enjoyable and memorable, helping young students ease into their new academic journey.

  • Promoting Healthcare

    Description

    The Adani Foundation is dedicated to improving community health by building and strengthening healthcare institutions. It provides a range of services, from tertiary care to doorstep primary care, ensuring last-mile access to knowledge, awareness, and quality, affordable healthcare for vulnerable populations.

    * Mobile Health Care Units (MHCU) - These units aim to detect health issues at an early stage, provide essential medications, and refer individuals for advanced medical treatment when needed.

    * Adani Hospital, Mundra (Gujarat) - This 100-bed secondary care hospital serves the healthcare needs of Mundra’s local population and nearby areas, ensuring accessible and reliable medical services.

    * Anaemia Control Programme, Dighi (Maharashtra) - Targeting the high prevalence of anaemia, particularly among the fishing community in Raigad District, this initiative was launched through a formal collaboration with Zilla Parishad, Raigad, to address this critical health issue.

    * Rural Clinic, Dighi (Maharashtra) - Dighi, a gram panchayat with about 1,500 households, faced significant challenges in accessing basic healthcare, with only one Ayushman Bharat sub-centre located 18 km away. Recognizing this gap, the Adani Foundation renovated the healthcare facility and advocated for enhanced medical services in collaboration with the Health Department.

  • Sustainable Livelihood Development

    Description

    The Adani Foundation is committed to fostering grassroots wealth creation by building self-sustaining ecosystems that harness human potential and community resources for socio-economic advancement.

    * Dairy Initiative in Dahej - The "Kamdhenu" initiative focuses on strengthening animal husbandry-based livelihoods across 30 villages in the Dahej and Netrang blocks of Bharuch district, Gujarat. The program aims to enhance and sustain the income of farming families by developing livestock resources.

    * Natural Farming - Aligned with the paradigm shift towards sustainable agriculture, the Adani Foundation supports farmers in villages like Mundra, Dahej, Kattupalli, Dhamra, and Krishnapatnam to transition to natural farming methods. These chemical-free techniques are rooted in Indian traditions while integrating modern ecological practices, green resources, and on-farm optimization to promote sustainable farming practices.

    * Adani Saksham - The Foundation's flagship skilling program, focuses on enhancing employability and entrepreneurial potential among youth. The program equips participants with industry-relevant skills and is now integrating advanced technologies such as Augmented Reality-Virtual Reality (AR-VR) to provide immersive training experiences. Additionally, it is pioneering courses in the Metaverse, preparing youth for the future of work in an increasingly digital world.

    * Climate Action - The Adani Foundation focuses on water conservation, waste management and increasing tree coverages across our sites in India.

    * Vruksh Se Vikas - Under the Adani Foundation’s Vruksh-Se-Vikas initiative, the teams are actively planting saplings of native species in and around beneficiaries’ households, common areas of villages, and villages’ institutional premises.

    * Pond Deepening, Dhamra - It is working with the Adani Foundation to develop and implement water conservation strategies to benefit people living in rural areas.

    Description

    * Aahaar - The Aahaar initiative provides hot cooked meals comprising steamed rice and Dalma (a popular local vegetable dish) at a minimal cost of ₹5 to individuals in need, particularly in public areas within urban regions.

    * Promoting Sports Among Youth in Kattupalli (Tamil Nadu) - Recognizing the growing concern of drug consumption in the region, the Adani Foundation launched the "Say No to Drugs" campaign in Kattupalli, Tamil Nadu. This initiative empowers youth by engaging them in sports activities, offering them a positive and constructive outlet.

    * Samajik Suraksha Labh Abhiyan, Mundra - In Mundra, the Adani Foundation operates a Community Resource Centre that acts as a single-window solution for citizens to access various government schemes. The centre bridges the gap between the government and eligible beneficiaries, facilitating smoother access to resources.

    * Vegetable Market Shed, Mundra - To support local livelihoods, the Adani Foundation has developed a dedicated vegetable market space in Mundra, enabling vendors to conduct their trade in a structured and supportive environment.

    * Multipurpose Hall at Lakhigam, Dahej - A multipurpose hall has been established in Lakhigam, Dahej, equipped with facilities such as a kitchen, changing rooms, sanitation blocks, and ramps for differently-abled individuals. This hall serves multiple purposes, including hosting social functions, indoor games, educational training, and awareness programs.

    * Access to Clean Drinking Water, Dhamra - In the saline region of Dhamra, the Adani Foundation has installed hand pumps to ensure access to potable water for the local community.

    * Drinking Water Facilities via RO Plant, Kattupalli - In Kattupalli, Tamil Nadu, where clean drinking water is scarce, the Adani Foundation has installed RO plants to provide safe and clean water to residents.

    * Toilet Block for Girl Students, Kattupalli - To enhance sanitation facilities for girls in schools, the Adani Foundation has constructed a dedicated girls’ toilet block in Kattupalli. This facility includes six hygienic toilet units, ensuring better sanitation and comfort for students.

    * Sports Development Centre at Gangavaram -To foster a culture of physical fitness, the Adani Foundation has developed 1.5 acres of land in Dibbapalem and 5 acres in Gangavaram into dedicated sports grounds. These facilities support the practice of Cricket, Football, and Kabaddi, promoting sports and active lifestyles in the community.

    * Beach Nourishment at Gangavaram - The beach nourishment initiative in Gangavaram has played a crucial role in preserving the coastal ecosystem. It protects shorefront properties, expands and maintains beaches, and helps restore diminishing shoreline areas, ensuring long-term sustainability of the coastal environment.
