Impact Areas • Community Sports Coaches - Leadership Skills and Livelihood. • Children – Education, Gender equality, Health and Nutrition. Impact till January 2025: 1. Community-based Sport for Development (S4D) program initiative with 563 Children (Impacted 392 Children in the MCD Primary School and 171 from the Community) 2. Mobilized 14 Youth and 8 Mother Volunteers 3. Program launched at 3 new locations - Ali Gaon, Vasant Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan. 4. Over 1000 plus hours of S4D programming delivered 5. Over 200 hours of Life-Skill S4D sessions conducted 6. S4D sessions delivered on Health, Sanitation, Waste Management 7. Education and employment linkages for the Youth who are within our network 8. Children (41) and Mother Volunteers (3) engaged in tuition classes 9. Girls playing Sports regularly 10. Periodical community events, including cleanliness drives involving the local Councillor Last Year Program Activities- Key program activities are listed below: 1. Recruitment of new staff 2. Recruitment of volunteer mentors (Community Sports Coaches) 3. Training for Program Team and Volunteer Mentors (CSCs) (7 days initial and 1 day every month) 4. Demo sessions in the community 5. Distribution of uniforms and sports material 6. Enrollment Drive and door-to-door visits for community mobilization 7. Recruitment of volunteers (high school students from Delhi’s leading private schools). 8. Weekly Sports and Life skills sessions with children (6 days/week – Tuesday to Sunday). 9. Weekly sessions in the MCD School with children from Nursery to Grade V (Tuesday to Friday). 10. Tution to children with poor learning levels. 11. 2 Sports tournaments (half-yearly). 12. Quarterly community events to create awareness of the Right to Play and the Right to Quality Education. 13. School enrollment drive to enable re-enrollment of dropout children. 14. Community events and celebrations of important days (e.g., Independence Day, Republic Day, Women’s Day, Children’s Day, and other United Nations Days). 15. Community meetings and school/School Management Committee meetings with principals and teachers to ensure continued involvement of stakeholders. 16. Weekly Team meetings with staff. 17. Ongoing monitoring of activities and reflection on program achievements through documentation and reporting. The detailed timeline is as follows: Quarter: July 2024-September 2024 I. Identify and recruit: 1. Two Project Managers and One Assistant Program Manager 2. One Marketing and Communication Manager 3. 40 CSCs II. Identifying and setting up the office III. Procurements for office (Desktops, furniture/fixtures, etc.) and Demo S4D kits IV. 7-day Training for 2 Project Managers, 1 Assistant Program Manager, 1 Marketing and Communications Manager and 40 CSCs V. Conduct S4D awareness sessions for NGOs and MCD School VI. Prepare Quarterly progress reports. Quarter: October –December 2024 I. Procurement of sports kit and uniforms for CSCs II. Distribution of Sports kits and First Aid Box to CSCs III. Distribution of Uniforms to Staff and CSCs IV. Conduct Need assessment, including learning levels of children V. Initiate S4D Sessions by CSCs – first children by October VI. Refresher training of CSCs and Program Team VII. Monitoring by the Program team. VIII. Reach 800 children IX. Initiate sports competition for MCD School. X. Social Media Communications to recruit volunteers from privileged communities. XI. Recruitment of volunteers (high school students) from neighboring communities of Nizamuddin West, Nizamuddin East, JorBagh, Golf Links and Sundernagar. XII. Community event to engage with parents XII. Prepare Quarterly progress reports Quarter: January 2025 – March 2025 I. Refresher training of CSCs. II. S4D Sessions by CSCs III. Monitoring by Program Team. IV. Conduct a Community level tournament for children V. 1-day orientation for high school volunteers from neighboring communities VI.
