Launched in 2022, the Qissa Pitara Project by the JCB Literature Foundation aims to foster a love for reading, creativity, and imagination in children while providing access to knowledge for marginalized communities. By partnering with educational organizations, the Foundation sets up child-friendly libraries in schools and community centres in rural areas, promoting reading through activities like read-aloud, storytelling, and arts and crafts. The initiative also empowers teachers and librarians to manage these spaces and engage children.
