The organisation envisions delivering high-quality medical services to all, without discrimination, focusing on areas such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, cancer, non-communicable diseases, and de-addiction. In addition to healthcare, it operates training institutes for medicine, Ayurveda, homoeopathy, and allied health sciences. Other initiatives include supporting orphaned students, running hospitals and mobile clinics on a no-profit-no-loss basis, and conducting health and awareness camps. The organisation also promotes compassionate service among healthcare professionals and aspires to be a globally recognised NGO, driving holistic and inclusive healthcare solutions.

Vivekanand Vaidyak Pratishthan has created a significant community impact through its healthcare, education, and disaster relief efforts. Over two decades, it has served 9,00,000 individuals in drought-stricken areas, treated more than 5,00,000 patients through OPD services, and assisted over 50,000 patients in hospital IPDs. Its mobile clinics, operating across 125 villages, address critical medical needs at nominal costs. Through Maharashtra’s LINK worker scheme, it has tested and supported 50,000 individuals for HIV/AIDS. On the education front, the organization’s skill development programs have empowered 1,200 students with employable skills, and 150 orphaned children receive annual educational support. Additionally, during the 2019 floods, it provided medical relief to 25,000 affected individuals, showcasing its commitment to serving vulnerable communities.

Health Camps
Vivekanand Vaidyak Pratishthan emphasises the importance of preventive and promotive healthcare, especially for those unable to access regular medical services. Under its Community Health initiative, the “Free Health Checkup Camps” programme was introduced to reach rural populations. The initiative aims to improve healthcare access, foster a proactive approach to health, and reinforce existing healthcare systems within targeted villages, promoting overall well-being through early detection and awareness.

Sanjivan Link Worker Scheme
The Sanjivan Link Worker Scheme, supported by the Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society, operates across 100 villages in Sangli district. Focused on eliminating new HIV infections and ensuring treatment for HIV-positive individuals, the program serves a population of 8–10 lakh. A dedicated team of 25 personnel carries out awareness, prevention, and care activities, aiming to strengthen HIV-related health services in rural and underserved communities.
