Cancer Awareness Net work (CAN)
As part of its institutional social responsibility, YCSSW launched the Cancer Awareness Network (CAN) in response to the rising incidence of cancer. The initiative emphasises prevention and early detection through awareness programs, health camps, and lifestyle education. It collaborates with medical professionals, promotes stress management, organic farming, and addiction prevention, and offers counselling for patients and families. CAN also engages media support to spread awareness and encourages knowledge sharing among healthcare providers.

Bal-Jeevan Suraksha
The “Bal Jeevan Suraksha Programme” was launched in 2014 by YCSSW to address child malnutrition. In this 12-day initiative, malnourished children receive 400 grams of supplementary food daily while mothers or caregivers undergo nutritional education and learn positive behavioural practices. These practices are continued at home, leading to improved child growth. The initiative, involving BSW third-year students, successfully rehabilitated 40 children in Satara and gained appreciation from the ICDS department.
