    • Palliative Care Project

      Description

      Cipla Palliative Centre: This project offers palliative care services for inpatients, outpatients, and home care both at the center and in outpatient departments (OPDs) of select hospitals. Additionally, it provides training for healthcare workers and professionals in palliative care. The center is based in Pune.

      Access to palliative care services: This project facilitates access to palliative care services through various partner organizations, including awareness programs, home-based support, and patient assistance through supportive care units within hospitals and institutions. It offers palliative care for inpatients, outpatients, and home care services at OPDs in select hospitals and multiple palliative care centers, promoting an integrated model of care. Additionally, the project provides home care services in collaboration with NGOs and offers comprehensive patient support, including both medical and non-medical assistance.

      Description

      Primary health care support: This project aims to provide primary healthcare support through diagnosis, treatment, and building awareness on health, hygiene, and nutrition, while also offering infrastructure support.

      Key initiatives include:

      *Promoting early child development, maternal and child health, and well-being with nutritional support.
      *Offering pulmonary rehabilitation for post-COVID recovery and interventions for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
      *Providing infrastructure support to facilitate health monitoring, rehabilitation programs, and medical assistance.
      *Assisting patients with Thalassemia and other life-limiting conditions.
      *Delivering patient care services by offering essential care and resources.
      *Strengthening healthcare institutions, including government hospitals, district and sub-district hospitals, public health centers (PHCs), and community health centers (CHCs), by providing medical equipment, trained personnel, and enhancing infrastructure.
      *Supporting the acquisition of an MRI machine (1.5T) for the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University.

      Mobile Health Vans: Supporting the operations of the Mobile Health Van, which offers medical consultations, free medications, basic diagnostic services, health awareness programs, and referrals for specialized treatments.

      Description

      Promoting Quality Education including support for Mobile Science Vans, Science centers primary education, career counselling, technology access, infrastructure support as well as scholarships.

      Support Will Include:

      *Mobile Science Vans: Enhancing access to hands-on science education for economically disadvantaged children in Government and Government-aided schools. This initiative supplements the existing education system with experiential science learning through interactive sessions, fostering a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.

      *Classroom Learning Support: Conducting hands-on science learning sessions and establishing science labs or science centers within schools to strengthen science education.

      *Career Counseling & Skill Development: Providing career guidance, online learning opportunities, and support for facility enhancements in alignment with the National Education Policy.

      *Financial Assistance:
      Scholarships for students pursuing various courses at school and college levels, including Nursing, Master of Science (Chemistry), and computer courses.
      Support for visually impaired students, assisting in their continued education and skill development.
      Digital Learning Excellence and Development (DLEAD) Program: Supporting digital learning initiatives in Government and Government-aided schools, including teacher training and capacity-building programs.

      *Early Childhood Education: Providing non-formal education for children aged 2-5 at Balvatika centers to ensure a strong foundational learning experience.
