The DS Group is dedicated to ensuring the long-term availability of water through geography-specific conservation measures and the judicious utilization of resources. The Group collaborates with like-minded, grassroots organizations to support multiple water conservation projects across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat, positively impacting millions of people from marginalized communities.

These projects focus on the construction of recharge and storage structures, renovation of defunct and underutilized water bodies, soil conservation measures, the introduction of efficient irrigation practices, and the establishment of community institutions to ensure long-term sustainability.

The initiatives have significantly improved the availability of surface and groundwater, leading to an increase in irrigated land, enhanced crop productivity, and ultimately, better economic conditions for the communities in these intervention areas.

The DS Group is committed to fostering inclusive growth by empowering individuals from underprivileged communities. The Group supports a variety of livelihood projects aimed at creating opportunities, enhancing skills, and fostering an enabling environment that empowers communities to improve their income-generating potential.

These projects focus on areas such as sustainable agriculture, livestock management, skill development, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. Designed with active participation from local communities, the initiatives leverage indigenous knowledge to ensure long-term sustainability.

Livelihood enhancement projects are being implemented across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Assam, and Tripura. These efforts have significantly improved the socio-economic conditions of numerous communities.

Saamya is dedicated to fostering a gender-sensitive society by engaging young boys aged 7 to 11, encouraging them to observe, reflect, learn, and take action to transform behaviors in their own lives and positively influence those around them. Through this early intervention, these boys develop greater gender sensitivity, demonstrating respect, empathy, consent, compassion, and affection towards women and girls, ultimately becoming role models within their communities.

Saamya has developed an innovative, activity-based module rooted in the core principles of Empathy, Respect, Equality, Dignity, Diversity, and Integrity. Gender sensitivity is a fundamental value woven into the ethical framework of Saamya’s approach.

The Group’s education initiative is centered on providing elementary education to tribal and urban slum children, including out-of-school children and dropouts. To reach underserved communities, the Group collaborates with dedicated and passionate organizations committed to making a difference.

Additionally, the Group advocates for skill-based education to enhance livelihood opportunities. Creativity Adda is one such initiative designed to offer diverse learning experiences to students in government schools across Delhi, as well as to children who have dropped out of the formal education system.

DS Mobile Clinics, the healthcare initiative of DSL, provided doorstep medical services to people living in remote areas of the North East and selected regions in Delhi/NCR. These well-equipped medical vans, staffed with qualified doctors and trained medical personnel, offered free basic healthcare services, including consultations, medications, and referrals. Critical cases were directed to nearby hospitals, and in emergencies, the mobile vans also facilitated patient transportation to healthcare facilities. Depending on the need, some villages were visited twice a month.

In addition to medical services, specially designed health awareness campaigns were conducted on key health issues such as malnutrition, maternal and newborn care, immunization, and seasonal diseases like malaria, dengue, and diarrhea.

Right to Sight Program
Many rural communities lack access to adequate medical care and awareness about eye health issues. This initiative focuses on raising awareness about cataract-induced blindness and the available treatments.

The company has actively supported victims of various natural disasters, extending aid and relief during emergencies such as the floods in Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Leh, and Assam. The company also provided critical assistance and support in the aftermath of the devastating tsunami in Tamil Nadu.

DS Group mobilized all possible resources to help the COVID devastated nation and offer support through various activities like contribution to the Prime Minister's Citizen assistance and relief in emergency situations fund, distribution of food, ration, masks, sanitary items, supporting quarantine facilities, providing medical equipments/items to various hospitals/concern authorities, awareness generation etc.

Heritage is a priceless legacy from the past, meant to be preserved and passed on to future generations. Cultural and monumental heritage serves as an irreplaceable source of life, identity, and inspiration. DSL has been actively involved in restoring numerous monuments, temples, and significant historic landmarks across the North East, contributing to the preservation of rich history.

In alignment with the Government of India's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, DSL has built 9 community toilet complexes in the slums of Lucknow. These facilities are maintained by local committees, ensuring their continued cleanliness and accessibility.

In collaboration with Shikshantar Sansthan, the company has established a dedicated Music Academy and Recording Studio within Udaipur Jail. This initiative empowers inmate learners to write, compose, and record their own songs. The program aims to keep inmates motivated and engaged, while also equipping them with valuable skills that can enhance their employment opportunities upon reintegration into society.
