      Description

      Founders Day CSR Activities – Promoting Women Empowerment
      Economic empowerment enables women to gain control over resources, assets, and income, enhancing their status through education, training, and awareness. As part of its commitment to sustainable development, the Bank undertook various initiatives to uplift women financially. Self-employed tailoring batches were also conducted at Federal Skill Academies to support skill development and entrepreneurship.

      Description

      Since 2005, the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation has been supporting meritorious students from financially weaker sections by providing scholarships for professional courses. Each year, the Trust awards scholarships to up to 500 students, including the children of martyred army personnel and students with speech and hearing impairments. Eligible courses include BSc Agriculture, BSc Nursing, BE/BTech, MBBS, and MBA.

      Birati Globe Vision Society, Kolkata – Supported the construction of two classrooms, a library-cum-computer room, and truss work over the roof for Knowledge Provat School in the Durgapur Slum Area, Birati, West Bengal.

      Installed 26 Smart Boards/Interactive Panels in 26 Coimbatore Corporation schools. Reconstructed and renovated four classrooms at Vellaikinar Elementary School, Coimbatore. Conducted a Cyber Security Awareness program.

    • Promoting Digitization

      Description

      Facilitates the establishment of a Control-cum-Training Hall at the Commissionerate Municipal Administration and supported the Chennai Municipality in setting up this facility. Additionally, we assisted Kalamasery Municipality in digitizing rent collection processes. Further, contributed to the provision of desktop computers, networking infrastructure, and the digitization of accounting systems for the office of the Regional Commissioner of Municipalities in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

      To bridge the gap between formal education and workplace skills, the Bank established the Federal Skill Academy as part of its social upliftment efforts and contribution to the National Skill Development Mission. Currently, it operates across seven centers, offering 14 courses.

    • Sanjeevani – United Against Cancer

      Description

      News18 and the Federal Bank Hormis Memorial Foundation have partnered to enhance societal health. Collaborating with TV18, Assam Cancer Care Foundation, and Tata Cancer Care Foundation, the initiative raises awareness and fights the stigma surrounding cancer. The Bank also supports patient treatment in partnership with these foundations. The project extends aid to socio-economically disadvantaged individuals at Assam Cancer Care Hospitals and SVICCAR, Tirupati, providing financial assistance for early diagnosis, tests, and cancer treatment.

      Description

      *Supported the installation of RO plants and drinking water facilities in schools, hospitals, public spaces, and palliative care centers.
      *Provided vehicles for home care services for bedridden patients and essential medical equipment, including dialysis machines, ECG machines, and ambulances for government hospitals.
      *Initiated projects for differently-abled individuals, including skilling programs, daycare centers, therapeutic parks, and vehicles for special schools.
      *Launched multi-skill training at Federal Skill Academy, Kochi, for special children in paper bag making and fiber craft to promote self-employment.
      *Funded trainers and personnel costs for a year to train 50 young adults with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities.
      *Supported Mehac Foundation, Ernakulam, in delivering recovery-oriented mental health care across 19 centers in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Palakkad for one year.

    • Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

      Description

      Federal Bank launched the ‘Mookkannoor Mission’ under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to transform the village into one of India's cleanest. The initiative focuses on waste management, tree plantation, community development, renewable energy, sports promotion, and women empowerment.

      Key activities include:
      *Swachh Bharat & Sanitation – Waste management, plastic & e-waste disposal, and toilet construction.
      *Environmental Sustainability – Tree plantations and roadside greenery.
      *Community Development – Support for a geriatric care center, bus shelters, traffic awareness, drinking water facilities, CCTV installation, and library upgrades.
      *Renewable Energy – A 10 kW solar plant at the PHC, an e-charging station, and solar-powered streetlights.

      Additionally, Mumbai Zonal Office, in collaboration with 'Project Mumbai' and ‘Jallosh,’ conducted a beach clean-up drive as part of the Clean India Mission.

      Description

      Federal Bank, in partnership with Mathrubhumi, launched the 'Grow Green' initiative on World Earth Day 2023 to promote organic farming among Kerala's students. Selected students from each revenue district received grow bags with vegetable saplings, while the Fruit Bank program distributed fruit tree saplings for plantation on Environment Day.

      Federal Bank, in collaboration with Bodhi Charitable Trust and Kurukshetra IAS Academy, promoted millet nutrition awareness and malnutrition prevention. In a record-setting initiative, 5,000 students planted 5,000 millet seeds in just one minute, earning recognition in the Asia Book of Records.
