It began its WASH program in Alwar, alongside its existing mid-day meal initiative. Research showed poor sanitation and hygiene conditions in schools, prompting Havells to build eco-friendly bio-toilets in over 500 schools. These bio-toilets convert waste into biogas and water, aligning with India's Swachh Bharat Mission.

      Havells also conducted behavioral change workshops to promote hygiene awareness among students and teachers. Additionally, in collaboration with Project Baala, it addressed menstrual hygiene by providing eco-friendly sanitary napkins and education to adolescent girls. These efforts have improved school attendance, health, and hygiene practices, while also reducing absenteeism and promoting gender equality. Havells' initiatives have earned it the National Award for Eminence in CSR.

      Since 2018, Havells India Limited has planted 2.1 million teak trees in Bhopal's Sagar, Sehore, Vidisha, and Raisen districts.
