  • Skill and Entrepreneurship Development

    Description

    The skill and entrepreneurship development initiative aims to create opportunities for underprivileged youth by equipping them with essential skills, providing placement assistance, fostering entrepreneurship, and upskilling technicians from the informal sector to enhance employability and support economic growth. These initiatives are designed in alignment with the National Skill Development Mission (NSDM), contributing to India's vision of becoming a hub for a highly proficient and skilled workforce.

    Nayi Disha - This initiative focuses on empowering youth in communities surrounding Crompton's manufacturing units by equipping them with employable skills.

    Project Samrudhi - Designed to upskill the existing plumbing and electrician workforce, Project Samrudhi leverages the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) platform to enhance professional competencies and career growth opportunities.

    Project Swabhiman - Crompton's Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Project Swabhiman, is closely aligned with the Startup India initiative. Developed in collaboration with a local social impact organization, it aims to foster entrepreneurial skills and support aspiring business owners.

  • Community Care

    Description

    As part of Crompton's community care initiative, a milk bank has been established in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, to address the nutritional needs of infants and young children by providing them with safe and hygienic donor milk.

    Additionally, Crompton has collaborated with a technology platform that facilitates access to government welfare schemes for villagers. Through this initiative, 3,600 residents, primarily women, in Ahmednagar and other areas of Maharashtra, will benefit from various government schemes aimed at improving their well-being.

    Project Patang - Crompton's Project Patang, a school transformation initiative, focuses on upgrading the infrastructure of 19 government schools, enhancing the learning environment for students.

    Project Umang - In collaboration with a local social impact organization, Crompton launched Project Umang to support female students facing financial barriers to education, ensuring greater access to learning opportunities.
