Project AAROGYA is based on a hub-and-scope model, implemented with the partnership of Citizens Foundation and in convergence with the District Health Department. The Dhandabar Health Care Centre, is a unique model of convergence where the Government has provided their premises to operate primary health centre, providing lab tests and medical amenities. This project caters all the 27 operational areas through the Mobile Health Unit which delivers preventive and curative health care facilities at their door-step. To spread awareness in the community, numerous awareness camps are conducted on Anaemia, TB, STI, HIV, Malaria and other specialized diseases. This project also includes activities like Eye Check-up, Covid Testing camps, etc.

The Jivika Project is dedicated to empowering women from multiple villages in the Chas and Chandankiyari blocks of Bokaro district, Jharkhand. It aims to create sustainable economic and livelihood opportunities, fostering self-reliance and enhancing household income. Through training, capacity building, and market linkages, the initiative strives to uplift the socio-economic status of women in the region.

Project Prerna is focused to promote education among youth from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This initiative aims to provide quality learning opportunities within ESL’s CSR operational region, ensuring holistic development and empowering students to achieve greater success.

Vedanta ESL Skill School is a multi-trade residential Centre of Excellence and an ESL CSR initiative in partnership with SEEDS. By offering short-term vocational training, the initiative equips unemployed youth with industry-relevant skills, enabling them to secure sustainable jobs in the organized sector.

The training covers two key trades: Solar PV Installer (90 days) and Sewing Machine Operator (45 days). Additionally, students receive basic computer literacy and soft skills training to enhance their employability and career prospects.

Established in 2018, the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy in Bokaro, Jharkhand, is dedicated to identifying, nurturing, and training local archery talent. Serving as a hub of excellence, the academy provides a structured training environment that helps young archers progress from grassroots to elite levels.

Currently, the academy trains 50 aspiring archers across various age groups, focusing on athletes from rural and tribal-dominated areas. It ensures access to professional coaching regardless of socio-economic background. The academy follows a well-structured program, offering training in both Indian and Recurve bow archery, with an emphasis on technical precision, physical endurance, and mental resilience. Additionally, archers receive customized bows, arrows, sports kits, jerseys, and a dedicated fitness regimen, fostering their holistic development.

This project focuses on developing orchards and restoring degraded land through ecological interventions and soil conservation measures, ensuring sustainable livelihood and food security for tribal households lacking basic necessities.

The Wadi initiative aims to promote the efficient, equitable, and self-managed use of natural resources by fostering both on-farm and off-farm enterprise development. By enhancing agricultural productivity and creating sustainable income opportunities, the project seeks to uplift poverty-stricken tribal communities and improve their overall quality of life.

Access to clean water remains a significant challenge in rural areas, often leading to unsafe drinking water. Project Swajal was launched to tackle this issue by implementing various interventions to improve water availability in our operational villages.

The project includes handpump repairs, solar-operated drinking water facilities, water transportation for social occasions, and the installation of water tap connections to ensure a reliable supply of clean water. Additionally, the initiative promotes hygiene awareness through cleanliness campaigns, encouraging safer and healthier practices within the community.

Infrastructure plays a crucial role in addressing community needs and enhancing facilities and connectivity for rural residents. Project NIRMAN focuses on various infrastructure development initiatives, including road repairs, pond excavation, construction of ghats and changing rooms, and renovation of existing buildings.

This demand-driven project caters to the specific infrastructural needs of the community, ensuring sustainable development. Additionally, the project also undertakes the renovation of government Aanganwadi centers, improving essential services for local children and families.

The Vedanta Covid Care Field Hospital was established in response to the Covid-19 pandemic as a 100-bed multispecialty hospital in Sector 5, Bokaro, to serve the community. Fully equipped with ICU beds, oxygen cylinders, ventilators, dedicated medical staff, childcare units, and a vaccination center, the hospital provided free medical services to Covid-affected patients.
