    Description

    Caring for frontline healthcare workers - During the rapid spread of the pandemic, Intel India engineers quickly designed and produced lightweight, simple, and cost-effective face shields to protect frontline healthcare workers.

    Support for HAL Covid-19 Care Center in Bengaluru - Facing an unprecedented demand for oxygen and emergency care, Intel India partnered with an NGO to support the HAL Covid-19 Care Center in Bengaluru. The collaboration resulted in the installation of an additional 50 oxygen beds and the procurement of essential drugs and patient kits, thereby saving lives.

    Advancing AI-based diagnostic solutions and risk stratification strategies - In response to the pandemic, government, academia, and industry united their efforts. Intel India contributed its expertise in AI-based diagnostic solutions, genome sequencing, and risk stratification strategies to enhance the prevention, diagnosis, containment, and treatment of COVID-19.

  • Advancing STEM Training and Employability among Women

    Description

    Intel India is expanding the inclusive talent pipeline for its industry through innovative education initiatives and STEM programs designed for girls and underrepresented groups. Under the BeingWISE diversity and inclusion program, Intel India trained women engineering students in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and security. Intel India employee volunteers also mentored female students in STEM subjects through technical and soft skills workshops and hackathons in collaboration with training partners. The students then showcased their projects at the conclusion of the training sessions.

  • Water Stewardship

    Description

    Intel funded the rejuvenation of two lakes—Lake Dyavasandra and Lake Nanjapura—in Bengaluru, in collaboration with NGO partner CLEAN International. The Dyavasandra project increases the capacity of the degraded lake, promoting groundwater recharge and revitalizing the ecosystem. The initiative improves water quality and provides habitat benefits through natural wetland filtration. Intel planted 1,500 trees around the lake and created an outdoor space for the local community, achieving a restoration benefit of 67 million gallons per year (MGY).
