As part of its strategy, it promotes judicious water use, including micro-irrigation, in collaboration with the government and stakeholders, benefiting many farmers.

    Description

It enhances farming awareness, builds farmer capacity, and introduces modern technologies like drones. Initiatives such as the Better Cotton program, organic farming, and the System of Rice Intensification lower costs and boost yields sustainably. Additional income streams include animal husbandry and diverse crops. The company has formed 16 farmer-producer organizations with 8,369 members, 33% of whom are women. Promoting solar irrigation and cultivating unused land, Ambuja Cements also emphasizes soil health for long-term agricultural productivity.

In the reporting year, 77% of trainees secured placements, with salaries ranging from ₹10,000-12,000. Entrepreneurship is a key focus, with dedicated enterprise development courses integrated into training programs. Promoting gender inclusion, the company achieved 44% women’s participation in technical courses, reinforcing its commitment to diversity, empowerment, and inclusivity.

    Description

    Ambuja Cements' community health initiatives cover curative and preventive care, focusing on maternal, child, and adolescent health, disease management, nutrition, and hygiene. Sustainable healthcare is driven by community clinics and behavioral adaptation through support groups. ‘Sakhis’ (village health volunteers) play a key role in bridging healthcare access and integrating government systems. The ‘Atmiyata’ mental health project continues to expand, reaching more individuals. Additionally, the company facilitates widespread access to Ayushman Bharat health insurance cards through strategic linkages.


    Ambuja Cements conducted 1,394 awareness camps on menstrual hygiene and achieved a 99% institutional delivery rate, ensuring access to essential healthcare. In its cancer care program, seven high-risk cases were identified through collaborations with leading medical organizations.

    To support truckers' health, the company established five healthcare centers near truckyard terminals, addressing HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, vision care, and non-communicable diseases.

    In sports promotion, 102 schools were engaged, with 229 students competing at district/state levels. Through strategic partnerships, the company expanded its community development programs to 2,808 villages across 29 districts.

Currently, eight women's federations have been established with over 22,026 members. Ongoing efforts include guidance on SHG management, governance, and sustainability.

    Description

    Ambuja Cements prioritizes holistic student development through quality education. The company enhances schools with water, sanitation, hygiene infrastructure, libraries, STEM labs, and sports facilities. Village volunteers play a key role in reducing dropouts, especially among girls, by addressing menstrual hygiene and sanitation. External subject experts provide teacher training based on specific needs.

    Through Ambuja Manovikas Kendra (AMK), the company trains differently-abled children in life and vocational skills for self-reliance. The Ambuja Vidya Niketan Trust (AVNT) manages five Ambuja Cements Schools, known for academic excellence, serving both employee and community children. These CBSE-affiliated English medium schools educate over 6,000 students from pre-primary to senior secondary levels.

    Rural infrastructure development is a key focus, improving community facilities, health and sanitation infrastructure, roads, and streetlights. Investments in these areas are guided by decisions at Corporate Social Responsibility Committee meetings.

    Description

    Ambuja Cements strengthened its water conservation efforts with the ‘Ambuja for Water’ campaign. A roundtable discussion on rural drinking water governance in India was held in collaboration with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

    During the year, the company installed 444 roof rainwater harvesting systems and conducted awareness camps on water conservation. To enhance agricultural water efficiency, 3,251 hectares were brought under micro-irrigation practices.

  • Skill-building and Entrepreneurship

    Promoting gender inclusivity, the company organized 68 training sessions for women, creating income-generation opportunities. On World Youth Skills Day (July 15), a virtual event was held to showcase the journeys of first-generation entrepreneurs.
