  • IONIQ Forest

    Description

    Greening Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu: HMIF has transformed 12.16 acres of barren land, nurturing 5,500+ trees of 42 indigenous varieties. A nursery has cultivated 43,000+ ornamental and herbal saplings, with 22,000+ distributed to institutions and communities. This initiative also supports 15 Irula tribal families with sustainable livelihoods.

    Agroforestry in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh: A 250-acre agroforestry project is underway to benefit 115 Chenchu tribal families. Over the next three years, 50,000 fruit-bearing trees will be planted.

    Sustainable City Initiative in Gurugram: HMIF, in collaboration with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, is revitalizing Leisure Valley park, enhancing sustainability and improving the groundwater table.

    Urban Greening with Metro Pillar Gardens: To combat air pollution and the urban heat island effect, HMIF is creating vertical gardens on 54 metro pillars in Gurugram, featuring plants like Rangoon Creeper, Allamanda, and Arabian Jasmine.

    Water Conservation – Project H2OPE: HMIF is rejuvenating ponds in Tamil Nadu and Haryana to replenish groundwater. Additionally, water systems are being installed in schools across Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

  • EcoGram

    Description

    Decentralized Waste Management in Gurugram: In collaboration with Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG), HMIF has set up an integrated waste management and biogas plant. Currently processing 1.2 tons of wet waste daily from 2,000+ households, the plant converts waste into biogas and electricity. It also houses a material recovery facility and Earthshala, a learning center promoting sustainable waste management. With a 5-ton daily capacity, the project aims to reduce landfill waste.

    Upcycling Factory Waste for Schools: HMIF repurposes steel, iron tubes, and pallets from factory waste to create benches and desks for underprivileged schools. Over 45,000 sets have been donated so far, supporting education and sustainability.

    Description

    Sparsh Sanjeevani – Healthcare at Doorstep: Bringing affordable primary healthcare to 13+ lakh rural residents, this initiative operates through telemedicine and mobile medical units. With 2.84+ lakh consultations across 35 clinics and 1 mobile unit in 6 states, it has improved health awareness, reduced out-of-pocket expenses, and cut carbon emissions by minimizing travel for medical needs.

    Vidya Vahini – Education on Wheels: A mobile van equipped with 100+ hands-on science models brings creative learning in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to 16,000+ students across 91 schools in Uttar Pradesh, ensuring holistic development.

    Dyaan Do – Safer Roads & Driver Well-being: Promoting safe driving habits and healthcare awareness among commercial drivers, this initiative has reached 34,000+ drivers through health check-ups and road safety training at truck stops, auto stands, bus depots, and corporate offices in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Chennai.

    Drive4Progress – Safe Driver Training & Employment: Providing safe driving training to unemployed youth, including women drivers, in Tamil Nadu and Haryana. The program equips them with skills and facilitates placements as commercial drivers.

    Safer Road Infrastructure: Enhancing road safety through streetlights, LED traffic signals, solar blinkers, road signage, cat eyes, and pothole repairs on highways in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

    Traffic Regulatory Observation Zone (TROZ), Chennai: In collaboration with Chennai Traffic Police, HMIL has implemented a high-speed surveillance system, improving challan accuracy by 98% and significantly reducing traffic violations over time.

    Description

    Art for Hope – Empowering Artists: Now in its 3rd year, this initiative supports youth, women, and rural artists focused on environmental, social themes, and traditional art revival.

    40 Grants for Artists: Including 10 grants for differently-abled individuals, offering financial aid, artist management, and virtual upskilling for sustainable recognition beyond charity.

    Festive Artisan Support: HMIF hosted an artisan fest with 32 exhibitor stalls, drawing 3,700+ visitors and benefiting 14,000+ artisans.

    Digital Skill Development: 50 underprivileged students trained in smartphone filmmaking, fostering creative expression and new-age digital skills.

    Description

    Advanced Automotive Training: Hyundai has partnered with 57 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and 19 polytechnics across India to provide specialized training in Motor Mechanical Vehicle trade, enabling graduates to secure jobs in the automobile industry.

    Empowering Rural Women: Through the SEED (Sustainable Employment and Entrepreneurship Development) approach, 1,000 women from contractual labor households received business counseling and entrepreneurial training in dairy farming and cattle rearing. Support was also provided for setting up micro-businesses, ensuring economic stability and a better standard of living.

During Cyclone Michuang, HMIL contributed ₹5 crore to the Tamil Nadu State Disaster Management Authority for flood relief efforts.
