Satluj Sanjeevani Sewa is a healthcare initiative providing essential medical services, especially in remote and project-affected areas. Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) operate in collaboration with HelpAge India, Piramal Swasthya Management and Research Institute (PMSRI), and Dhanush Foundation under the “Chikitsa Chikitsak Aapke Dwar” program, conducting health camps and awareness sessions.

Specialized healthcare services include multi-specialized health camps in District Chamba, eye check-up cum cataract surgery camps in project areas, and Mega Eye & General Health Camps in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Dental care, physiotherapy, and X-ray services are also available in key locations.

Women and child development efforts include financial aid for Below Poverty Line (BPL) women and support for TB patients under the Ni-Kshay Mitra program.

Support for persons with disabilities (Divyangjan) includes distribution of assistive devices through ALIMCO, financial aid for wheelchairs and stretchers at IGMC Shimla and the Municipal Corporation, Shimla.

Emergency medical infrastructure is strengthened through ambulance procurement for GP Chipura, Bihar, a mortuary vehicle for Kangra, and the renovation of an Ayurvedic Health Centre in Village Bathara, Shimla.

Swachhta Pakhwada 2023 promoted cleanliness, waste management, and environmental sustainability through various initiatives. Key efforts included the installation of a solid waste disposal machine, cleanliness drives in hospitals and public spaces, and awareness campaigns via media and social media.

Environmental initiatives focused on tree plantation, discouraging plastic bag use, recycling plastic bottles, and collecting empty milk pouches for recycling in Himachal Pradesh. E-waste disposal and paper waste recycling mechanisms were also introduced. To improve hygiene, sanitary pad incinerators and water purifiers were installed in schools and libraries, along with the distribution of sanitization materials.

Community engagement was fostered through competitions in government schools, Swachhta Hi Sewa 2023, and the ‘Swachh Diwali Shubh Diwali’ campaign. The SAUHARD program encouraged the donation of surplus household items to the needy.

Special training is offered to kins and dependents of Army personnel in Himachal Pradesh to enhance employability.

To promote academic excellence, the SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship Scheme supports deserving students, while a reward scheme for toppers recognizes outstanding achievements. Assistance is extended to initiatives like the Children’s Science Congress (CSC) to encourage scientific learning.

For livelihood enhancement, a horticulture-based livelihood project benefits NJHPS project-affected communities in District Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.

Infrastructure development includes the construction of a hostel for female civil service aspirants in Delhi, providing better opportunities for young women. Other projects include a new library at Government Senior Secondary School, Tharoch (Shimla), renovations at Government Primary School, Sector-03, New Shimla, and construction work at Government Primary School, Poshana (Tehsil Nirmand, Kullu) and Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Jangla, Chirgaon (Shimla). Additionally, an emergency staircase has been built for DAV Public School, Duttnagar, ensuring student safety.

Financial support is also provided to facilitate the education of students at the special children school in Dhalli, Shimla.

The initiative focuses on environmental sustainability, renewable energy adoption, water conservation, and eco-friendly infrastructure development. Efforts include the restoration of water bodies and financial support for Lift Water Supply Schemes in project-affected areas of District Kullu and a Lift Irrigation Scheme in Village Nirath, District Shimla, ensuring improved water access for communities.

To promote renewable energy, solar lights have been installed through various agencies in District Siddharthnagar and villages Maithra, Alapur Sahajoi (District Sambhal). High mast lights have been set up in Chipura Gram Panchayat, Smapatchak (Patna, Bihar) and various locations in Himachal Pradesh. Additionally, a rooftop hybrid solar power plant has been installed at Deen Bandhu Sewa Mandal Bharnal, District Mandi, contributing to clean energy generation.

Energy conservation awareness is encouraged through a State-Level School Painting Competition, educating students on sustainable practices.

To promote eco-tourism, two E-Carts (Electric Buggies) have been deployed in Baga Sarahan, Tehsil Nirmand, District Kullu, offering an environmentally friendly mode of transport.

Support is also extended for the construction of Gau Sadans in and around project areas, ensuring proper shelter for stray cattle and promoting animal welfare.

As part of spiritual infrastructure development, financial support has been extended for the construction and redevelopment of Shri Badrinath Dham (Sheshtra Lekh) town, transforming it into a Spiritual Smart Hill Town. Additionally, the development of Kedarnath Town, including a pilgrim accommodation block, is being undertaken through the Shri Kedarnath Utthan Charitable Trust (SKUCT). Further development includes the construction of Annapurna Bhawan in Lakhdata Peer Complex (Village Dohak, Gram Panchayat Badgon Galu, District Bilaspur) and infrastructure upgrades at Mahavir Khushala Temple (Shoghi, Shimla). The renovation and reconstruction of Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple (V.P.O Kinoo, Tehsil Rampur Bsr., District Shimla) and the construction of a Satsang Bhawan at Maa Bhangyani Devi Temple (Haripurdhar) are also being undertaken.

Financial assistance is provided for the Library-cum-Archaeological Site at Khari Gompa (Jangi) and the Tourist Facilitation Centre at Rukshlang Monastery (Tehsil Pooh, District Kinnaur), preserving historical knowledge and improving visitor facilities.

Further, financial assistance has been provided to Shri Krishan Kumar for his participation in the 3rd National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship 2023, supporting inclusivity in sports.

These initiatives collectively aim to strengthen grassroots sports development, provide better opportunities for rural athletes, and ensure inclusivity in sporting events at regional and national levels.

The initiative focuses on the construction and development of community assets in project areas, ensuring improved infrastructure, accessibility, and facilities for local residents. These efforts contribute to enhancing public spaces, supporting religious and cultural centers, and strengthening rural infrastructure.

To support education and meditation, financial assistance has been provided for the construction of a Hostel-cum-Meditation Centre at Ringchen Zangpo, Endowment Society, Ponda, District Kinnaur. Various developmental works have also been undertaken in Village Khayri, Dhamoon, Shimla, enhancing community infrastructure.

Religious and cultural spaces have been improved through the construction of a community hall at Devta Kurgan Temple, Sanahu, Shimla, and a kitchen facility for the community center at Chandi Mata Temple, Nirmand, District Kullu. Additionally, a Community Bhawan has been constructed at Janki Nath Mandir, Jaisinghpur, District Kangra, and community halls have been built at Buda Mahadev Temple and Duttnagar, Rampur, Shimla.

Infrastructure development includes the construction of pucca paths at multiple locations, such as Ward No. 2 (Shantinagar), above NH-5 at Jhakri, Tehsil Rampur, District Shimla, and Runni Colony (Kandar), GP Nathpa, Tehsil Nichar, District Kinnaur. Fencing and boundary walls have been constructed at Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Shimla, and Panchayat Bhawan, Tunan, Tehsil Nirmand, District Kullu.

Community infrastructure has been strengthened with the construction of Panchayat Bhawans in GP Bindla, Tehsil Karsog, District Mandi, and GP Bag, Sunni, Shimla, as well as the renovation of the Community Hall at Village Majhewali, Gram Panchayat Funja, Tehsil Rampur, District Shimla. Additional improvements include the construction of a roof over the open space in front of the Community Centre in Bayal, Gram Panchayat Gadej, Tehsil Nirmand, District Kullu, and the restoration of the damaged retaining wall at the local bus stand in Bayal, Tehsil Nirmand, District Kullu.

To improve connectivity and transportation, an ambulance road has been constructed in Village Koyal, GP Gadej, ensuring better accessibility to healthcare services.

These initiatives collectively contribute to enhancing community infrastructure, preserving cultural and religious heritage, and improving accessibility in project-affected areas.

Efforts have been made to assist victims of natural disasters and calamities, providing essential support and relief measures to affected communities. Contributions have also been extended towards State Disaster Relief Funds and COVID-19 relief initiatives, ensuring timely intervention during emergencies.

To enhance disaster preparedness and awareness, financial assistance has been provided for organizing sensitization programs for disaster-affected individuals in Districts Kullu and Mandi. Immediate relief and support were extended during the flash flood in Rathgaon, Tharali, Uttarakhand, ensuring necessary aid for the affected population.

Additionally, as a safety and relief measure, the diversion of Nallah to its original course and protection work was carried out at Village Binol following a cloudburst, minimizing further damage and safeguarding the local community.

These initiatives collectively contribute to disaster response, community resilience, and preparedness, ensuring timely assistance and recovery for those impacted by unforeseen calamities.

Various initiatives have been undertaken to support healthcare, nutrition, and education projects in Aspirational District Chamba, contributing to the overall development of the region. Efforts focus on infrastructure enhancement, digital education, medical facilities, and community engagement.

To strengthen educational infrastructure, construction work has been carried out in 17 government primary schools across District Chamba. Additionally, two e-classrooms have been set up, along with infrastructural improvements and procurement of dental equipment at Government Medical College, Chamba, enhancing healthcare and medical education facilities.

Developmental activities in Aspirational District Chamba also include participation in CSR Exhibitions and Roundtable Conferences of CPSEs, ensuring collaborative efforts for sustainable growth. Recognizing contributions towards cleanliness and community welfare, the district was also honored with the Swachhta Pakhwada Award 2023.
