Holistic Development Program for Underprivileged Girls
Since 2009, Nai Dharti has been transforming the lives of underprivileged girls in Bihar through its comprehensive development program. Starting with 20 rag-picker girls, the initiative now supports 200 students—120 boarders and 80 day scholars—at Sister Nivedita Balika Vidyalaya, a semi-residential school near Patna. The school offers free education, boarding, healthcare, and life skills training to girls from marginalized backgrounds, including orphans and children of daily wage laborers. Following the Bihar Board curriculum, the program boasts impressive academic results, with nearly all students achieving first division in matriculation and higher secondary exams. Beyond academics, it fosters moral values, personal growth, and resilience, empowering girls to build dignified, self-reliant futures.

Economic Empowerment of Deprived Women
Nai Dharti Foundation’s “Economic Empowerment of Deprived Women” initiative focuses on uplifting marginalized women through sustainable livelihood opportunities. The program provides comprehensive skill development in tailoring, handicrafts, and food processing, enabling participants to earn a dignified income. Through self-help groups and training workshops, women gain financial literacy, confidence, and independence. The initiative not only enhances their socio-economic status but also fosters community development by encouraging entrepreneurship and collective growth. By nurturing skills and creating pathways to self-reliance, the program plays a transformative role in reshaping the lives of underprivileged women across rural India.
